One flies the nest...

I'm not sure I would have expected my youngest to be the first to fly the coop and head to "real" school, but that proved to be the case this fall. Caroline headed off to Kindergarten at Carmel Christian while the boys and I resumed our time at Three Oaks Academy. She was excited to go, and is off to a great start!!! Mrs. Beerbower and Mrs. Childers her teachers seem very nice...I think it's going to be an awesome year.

The "Wright" Beach Trip!

We started a fun tradition this year...a "Wright" beach trip! We took off (quite literally) for the beautiful gulf coast to vacation with Marmie, Poppy, the Wray crew and our Wright "Alabama" cousins! Santa Rosa beach proved to be the perfect spot for our crew. Sunny skies and transparent blue waters awaited us, along with a full week of fun in the sun with our favorite folks. There was kayaking, paddle boarding, sand sculpture competitions, devos with Poppy, lots of eating and lots of cousin time!! We even celebrated James 8 birthday which happened to be on this trip!

James spent his actual birthday this year in Florida with the Wright family, but we couldn't let the celebration end there! We capped it off with a fun, pool party with our cousins. Since Adah's birthday is in July as well, we had a little "joint" party with pizza, homemade ice cream cake (courtesy of Anderson custard) and lots of pool time. 

4th of July with Marmie and Poppy!

This year we enjoyed a special little trip with just our family of 5 and Marmie and Poppy. We spent the 4th of July with them at Holden where we were wined, dined, boated, waterslided...well, the usual Marmie and Poppy treatment:) Such a sweet, relaxing time with lots of great memories. 

Sweet Caroline turns 6!!

Our little lady turned 6 this year! We celebrated with not one, but TWO birthday parties!!

A "friend" gymnastic party, followed by a pool party on the actual birthday! Both were tons of fun. We sure are grateful for this little girl..she is a lover of life, full of energy, daring, bold, brave, talented in so many ways.

And just like that…our baby girl is finished with 

TK and heading to kindergarten next fall! Caroline had an amazing year with the best teachers ever, Ms. Mimi, Ms. Melissa and Ms. Libby! These sweet teachers hold a special place in our heart as they taught Ben David as well!

Boys Beach Trip!!

Marmie and Poppy do such a great job each year taking the boys down for a "boy cousin only" beach trip! this year, our "alabama cousins" nate and jude joined in which made for extra fun! it was an action packed 5 days full of watersides, golf, horseback riding, mini golf, ice cream, biking, body boarding…

best of all, these boys got to sit under the best bible teacher i know…poppy! they had a neat time studying the book of daniel together.
